Ready when you are, Spring!

Today I received a catalogue in the mail with the caption of 'Ready when you are, Spring'. I don't know about you, but I am ready too! The AFHF committee members are starting to make preparations for the 2013 festival, to be held on Saturday May 18 (no rain date) on the Town Common.

This year, the committee is looking for new vendors. Our festival is very popular and we are grateful to all of our vendors who participate year after year. Every year we get more and more inquiries from new vendors with different products who wish to participate in the festival, and unfortunately there is extremely limited space. So this year, we have decided to accept applications from vendors, new and old, and decide as a committee, which ones best suit our 2013 festival. Vendors must have a nature or heritage theme.

This year, all applications must be accompanied by a couple of pictures of your craft. (Growers and food vendors do not need to send in pictures with their application, but they must be approved). All applications will be reviewed by the committee and vendors chosen through a group decision. Interested vendors should only send in a completed application and photos. Payment for the space will not be required until after the vendor is notified on their acceptance to the festival.

Deadline for consideration is March 1 2013. All vendors will be notified of their acceptance by March 8 2013. Any questions regarding this new process can be posted below as a comment, or sent via email to aspragusfestival@charter.net.

Please complete the form by answering each question, making it clear what your product is, and whether you require electricity (extremely limited). Your pictures may simply be printed out in color onto white paper, or in photo form.

You may find the application forms (one for craft vendors, and one for food/grower vendors) on this blog very soon. If you are unable to download it, please contact asparagusfestival@charter.net.

We look forward to receiving your applications and welcoming a group of exciting vendors to our festival!
